The scope of work includes the following: rehabilitation of a 200,000 gallon, 64-foot diameter concrete clearwell; construction of a two-story filter building addition of approximately 22 feet by 28 feet, which will include two 9 feet by 10 feet gravity filters and associated site work; rehabilitation of the existing two 9 feet by 10 feet gravity filters; and installation of SCADA system components. Instructions to bidders state that prospective bidders are required to register at The Wooten Plan Room as a plan holder. If bidding documents are obtained from a different source, bidders must still be registered at the Bid Website. Only full sets of bidding documents are available from the issuing office. With a request for bidding documents, supply company name, contact person with email, street address, phone numbers, N.C. contractor's license with limitation and classification, and indicate if the firm will be a Bidder, Supplier, or Sub-Contractor. Bidders must show evidence of being licensed as required by North Carolina law. Bid Security in the amount of five percent of the bid must accompany each bid. The Owner encourages bids from small, minority, and female contractors, and does not discriminate based on handicapped status. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids.
