Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in McGregor, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The extent of the work involved is as follows: Improvements to Triangle Park in McGregor, Iowa including the construction of a new plaza with fountain. Work shall include construction fencing, erosion control, tree removals, soil mitigation, site earthwork (excavation, fill, compaction, topsoil placement), modified subbase, PCC pavement, irrigation, plantings, and site furniture installation. The work under the contract can begin immediately following notice to proceed from city council and be substantially completed on or before the 31st day of August 2026, subject to any changes in the contract period as provided for in these specifications, and granted by the City of McGregor. This project is subject to liquidated damages as described within the project manual. Each proposal must be accompanied by bid security as defined in Iowa Code Section 26.8, as security that the successful bidder will enter into a contract for the work bid upon and will furnish after the award of contract a corporate surety bond, in a form acceptable to the Jurisdiction, for the faithful performance of the contract, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the contract. The bidder's security shall be in the form of a cashier's check, certified check, certified share draft, or a bid bond on the form provided in the contract documents with corporate surety satisfactory to the Jurisdiction and filed in an envelope separate from the proposal. The bid shall contain no condition except as provided in the specifications. Bidders shall not be permitted to withdraw their bids for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for opening bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in the bids received in the best interest of the Jurisdiction. Modification to project documents may only be made by written addendum. Proposals must be made on the forms provided within the project manual, and all required information must be supplied prior to the time of bid opening. Minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
