Site work for a water / sewer project in New Philadelphia, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
The Project consists of the mechanical and chemical rehabilitation of Wells #1 and #6, the conversion of Well #1 to a submersible configuration, and exploratory Phase 3 test drilling for a potential new groundwater source. The Contract will be awarded to the "lowest and best" responsible bidder in accordance with Ohio Revised Code Section 307.86. The Agent, acting on behalf of the Owner, shall be the contracting authority and reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Bids received, and to accept any Bid or combination of Bids deemed most favorable to the Owner. The project is intended to be funded through a loan from the Ohio Water Development Authority (OWDA), and the award of the Contract is strictly contingent upon the Owner securing said funding. All bidders must comply with OWDA's requirements, including the payment of Ohio Prevailing Wage rates (ORC 4115). Bidders must be a State of Ohio Registered Water Well Drilling Contractor in good standing. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty in the form of a Bid Bond for the full amount (100%) of the Bid, or by a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total Bid, made payable to the Board of County Commissioners of Tuscarawas County, Ohio, in accordance with ORC Section 153.54.
