Demolition, site work and asbestos abatement for a mixed-use development in White Oak, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; for site work for a residential development; water / sewer project; and for asbestos abatement for a residential development.
Demolition of four residential structures in White Oak Borough, including utility disconnections, sewer lateral removal and capping, extermination of rodents, asbestos abatement, building demolition and removal of outbuildings, trees, fences, proper disposal of materials, backfill with suitable material, compaction, grading, and all incidentals as required by the municipal engineer. Proposals must include a Bid Bond equal to ten percent of the Proposal. Compliance is required with various federal, state, and local laws and ordinances, including the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Department of Labor Equal Opportunity Clause, Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, Executive Orders on Minority and Female Business Enterprise utilization, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Americans with Disabilities Act, the Allegheny County MBE/WBE Program, the Allegheny County Ordinance on Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act, and the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. All contracts must contain the Section 3 Clause and comply with federal General County Conditions. The Steel Rivers Council of Governments reserves the right to waive informalities or to reject any or all proposals, or any part thereof. No bidder may withdraw their bid for the specified period after the scheduled bid closing time.
