Pavement Maintenance on various roads throughout the Borough, including approximately 12,300 S.Y. of 3.5" +/- Rotomilling and Profiling, 630 S.Y. of Soft Spot Repair, 1,500 TONS of 2" of 19 mm Superpave Binder (0-0.3 ESAL's), 12,300 S.Y. of 1.5" 9.5 mm Fine Grade Superpave Wearing Course (0-0.3 ESAL's), 430 L.F. of Concrete Curb Replacement, 2,700 L.F. of Bituminous Wedge Curb Replacement, 3 EA. of Manhole/Inlet Frame and Grate Replacement, 9 EA. of Rebuilding Inlets, Traffic Control, Resident Notification, and Restoration. Alternates include work on Maryal Drive, Par Drive, and Wheaton Drive, each consisting of similar pavement maintenance activities such as rotomilling and profiling, soft spot repair, Superpave Binder and Wearing Course installation, curb replacement, rebuilding inlets, traffic control, resident notification, and restoration. Proposals must be submitted electronically via PennBid before the specified deadline. Bids must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond in an amount equal to ten percent of the total proposal amount as a guarantee. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, Public Liability and Property Damage Insurance, and Workman's Compensation certificates must be filed with the executed Agreement. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage rates are required for this project. Pre-qualification Requirements: Bids will only be accepted from Bidders that are pre-qualified by Whitehall Borough to perform paving work. All Bidders must be PennDOT pre-qualified as a prime contractor and meet the work classification codes of E, F, and F1. Pre-qualification certificates must be submitted with the proposal for it to be considered responsive. Bidders who are not pre-qualified by the Borough must contact the Borough Manager regarding requirements and submit all required pre-qualification materials by the established deadline for review and status notification.
