Renovation of an educational facility in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, Cashier's Check, Trust Company Treasurer's Check or Certified Check made payable to the Brentwood Borough School District in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the proposal. Question Deadline 04/20/2026 Bidders shall not rely on any verbal clarification of the drawings and specifications. Any questions or clarifications shall be referred to Engineer at least seven (7) working days prior to bidding to allow for issuance of an addendum. Such Bid Bond or Check shall be submitted with the understanding that it shall guarantee that the Bidder's Bid will not be withdrawn for a period of at least sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids; that if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute the Form of Agreement, as provided by the Owner, with all blanks appropriately filled and will submit the required 100% Performance and Labor and Material Bonds (submitted on A.I.A. Document A312) and 100% Maintenance Bond as specified in Section 007316 Insurance Requirements he Base Bid shall include the amounts for the furnishing and installation of additional materials/work within the Contract time, to that shown on drawings, as stated in the following. The cost for additional items as hereafter listed shall be included in the Base Bid sum. The Owner may or may not elect to have this work performed. No material and/or labor shall be supplied until specifically requested by the Owner and/or Architect. Work described below that is not performed will be deducted from the Project total at the end of the Project. In addition to including the cost of additional items as hereafter listed in the Base Bid sum, the Contractor shall also indicate a unit price for the stated work as a basis for adjustment of the Contract amount for addition to or deletion from the additional items included in the Base Bid sum. The additional materials/work and corresponding unit prices shall include all costs, including supervision, overhead, profit, and time. The Owner's election to have any of the following work performed, does not constitute an extension of time to the Contract. Item Description Furnish and install fifty (50) linear feet of 4" above ground natural gas piping and fittings (per Section 221124), beyond the extent shown on drawings. Hangers per Section 220529. Furnish and install two (2) cubic yards of 4500psi AE concrete, beyond the extent shown on drawings (per Section 033000.5 and generator concrete slab detail on drawing E-1.1), to be provided as required within the generator enclosure area. Furnish and install twenty-five feet (25') of (4) #4/0 & (1) #4 EGC in 2-1/2" EMT conduit, beyond the extent shown on drawings. Furnish and install three (3) 20A-1P connections to 120V equipment, beyond the extent shown on drawings. Each connection shall include thirty feet (30') of (2) #12 & (1) #12 EGC in _" EMT conduit. Note: Additional amounts of work as specified above shall be due to existing unsatisfactory conditions as verified and quantified by the Architect and Owner and will not include any area damaged by the Contractor. Any areas damaged by the Contractor's activities shall be repaired by the Contractor at no cost to the Owner.
