Sealed proposals will be received for the 6th Street Reconstruction project in Glassport Borough, specifically for projects CD 50-7.6c/CD 51-7.6b. The work includes milling, repairing the road base, installing binder and wearing courses, raising two inlets, installing thermoplastic stop-bar, keyways, and wedge curbs on 6th Ave. from Michigan Ave to Cypress Aly. There is an alternate item for milling, base repair, binder, wearing, keyways, and thermoplastic stop-bar on 6th Ave. from Cypress Aly to Vermont Ave. The contract specifies a 30-day completion period. Proposals must include a Bid Bond equal to ten percent (10%) of the Proposal. The successful bidder must enter into an agreement and commence construction immediately after the Notice of Award. Compliance is required with multiple acts and ordinances including Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Department of Labor Equal Opportunity Clause, Section 109 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, Executive Orders 11625 and 12138, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, Allegheny County MBE/WBE and Veteran-Owned Small Businesses programs, and Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968.
