Renovation of a museum in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a museum.
This project is for the third phase of the restoration of the Clayton (museum house) exterior envelope. The scope of work generally consists of but is not limited to: masonry work, including stone mortar joint repointing, stone patching and repair, stripping brick of surface coatings, and extensive mortar joint repointing; metals work, including the installation of galvanized steel handrail bracing over the South Porch; wood work, including the complete removal and replacement of the South Porch decking and supporting framing, while retaining the porch superstructure, porch superstructure repair and refinishing, wood storm window refurbishment, and refurbishment and repainting of wood cornices; and terrazzo work, including demonstration restoration areas of the exterior installation.
