Renovation of a library in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.

Notice to Bidders: Bidders may submit bids for the project as described herein. Submit bids according to the Project Manual's Section 00 30 00 "Instructions to Bidders". Bidders' Questions: Questions are to be sent as an RFI to Architect via email by BID RFI DUE DATE, Tuesday, 25 August 2026; 1:00 PM. 2. All Questions shall be submitted and answered in writing and shall be included in official Addenda issued to bidders. Any information that was not included in an official Addenda, issued by the Owner, or by the Architect on the Owner's behalf, is not valid. Regulatory Requirements: The Project for which construction proposals are being solicited is subject to applicable provisions of the statues and regulations of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, including the Commonwealth Procurement Code, Pennsylvania Human Relations Act, the Anti-bid-Rigging Law, the Bid Withdrawal Act, the Public Works Contractors Bond Law, the Steel Products Procurement Act, thePublic School Code of 1949, the Resident Labor Statute, the Trade Practices Act, the Utilities Protection Act ("PA One-Call"), the Public Works Employment Verification Act, and the Act 114 FBI Fingerprint Report shall govern submittal, opening, and award of bids. 1. Project is an occupied, targeted renovation. 2. Selectively demolish and/or salvage building and site features as indicated. 3. Install new exterior, at grade, HVAC package units. Connect to existing interior ductwork, grilles, registers, and diffusers. 4. Renovate upstairs single-user toilet room and add a new one next to it. 5. Renovate downstairs toilet rooms. 6. Selected Alternates may add to this scope. 7. Exterior finish work must be performed during acceptable weather and temperature conditions, e.g. 40 degrees Fahrenheit and rising. 8. Interior work must be planned and scheduled to allow primary uses of the library to continue with minimal interruption, e.g. toilet room renovations must be staggered in such a way as to have usable facilities throughout. Prime Contract No.1 - HVAC. Anticipated Project cost is $100,000.00 2. Prime Contract No.2 - Plumbing. Anticipated Project cost is $150,000.00 3. Remaining scope, including General, Electrical, Hazardous Materials Abatement, and coordination of Prime Contracts 1 and 2 shall be by the project's Construction Manager. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. Bidders must submit qualifications statement with their bids, in the form required in the bidding documents, for their bid to be considered. The Owner reserves the right to award the contract to the lowest responsible and qualified bidder
