Demolition and site work for a residential development in Watseka, Illinois. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development.

The project consists of asbestos remediation, demolition of structures, removal of debris, and the grading and seeding of the properties at 811 W Franklin St, 303 W Park Ave, and 432 N 2nd St in Watseka, Illinois. Written reports of asbestos inspection results are supplied as part of the contract documents. Contractors must register with the City and pay a non-refundable fee for the contract documents. Bids must reflect an accurate assessment of the aggregate cost to complete the project and alternatives for the individual costs for each property. Bids must be hand-delivered in a sealed envelope to the City Clerk and include completed and executed contract documents and bid security. Each bid must include a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond guaranteeing the offer in an amount of no less than ten percent (10%) of the aggregate bid amount. Bids must be submitted on original forms, and all required documents must be signed by an authorized representative. Performance and payment bonds equal to the contract price are required from the winning contractor. All work is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act and federal and state equal opportunity statutes. Certified payroll records must be submitted prior to payment. The City encourages the participation of businesses owned by minorities, females, and persons with disabilities. A walkthrough of the properties for prospective bidders is scheduled, and no access is allowed outside of this time. The City reserves the right to cancel, modify, or reject bids, and to award the contract in whole or in part.
