The purpose is to solicit proposals from qualified architects, engineers, or other professional design firms to design and provide construction documents for the demolition and construction of a new Public Works facility at 275 East 200 North, American Fork, UT 84003. The scope of work includes: coordination with the City-appointed Project Management Team in all phases; preparation of a Schematic Design including preliminary building plans, landscape plans, cross-sections, elevations, study models, perspective sketches, electronic modeling, and presentation to the City and Project Team for input; facilitation of City Council presentations; consultation as needed in selecting a CM/GC; coordination with the CM/GC beginning at the 25% design level, including reviewing construction materials, methods, cost estimating, value engineering, and project phasing; preparation of construction documents at 50%, 85%, and 100% completion for use in Guaranteed Maximum Price negotiations; coordination of all permitting and similar requirements; continued coordination with the CM/GC throughout bidding and construction, including regular updates to the City; coordination with CM/GC in project inspection and closeout, including all closeout documentation, maintenance and operation manuals, warranties, as-built drawings, systems testing, and quality assurance. As of April 30, 2026, proposals have been submitted for this RFP. An architect has not yet been selected, but a selection is expected in May. No timeline for construction will be set until design begins.
