The Work to be done under the Contract consists of Asphalt Mill and Fill Rehabilitation for Wilkes Avenue from PTH 100 (east off-ramp) to 400m west of Charleswood Road (Segment 1) and from 400m east of Charleswood Road to 200m east of Harstone Road (Segment 2). Major components include excavation and widening of shoulders, placement of materials for ditch slopes and shoulders, planing of asphalt, repairs to planed surfaces, crack sealing and pavement repair fabric installation, placement of Super Pave asphalt (SP2 and SP1) and MS3 asphalt for tie-ins, adjustment of manhole frames and covers, grading of ditches, installation of limestone surfacing materials, rumble strips, topsoil, hydroseed, and supply and installation of temporary variable message boards. Culvert rehabilitation includes removal and replacement of damaged culverts, ditch and embankment work related to culvert renewals, and associated road repairs.
