Site work for a water / sewer project in Fort Valley, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work to be completed consists of the removal and replacement of approximately 341 linear feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer pipe using the open-cut method and the installation of two new precast manholes. Additional work includes mobilization and demobilization, post-construction cleaning, post-construction CCTV inspection, installation and reconnection of service lines and cleanouts, implementation of bypass pumping operations, pavement patching and restoration, and traffic control measures. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier's check in an amount not less than 5% of the base bid. All bonds must be by a surety company licensed in Georgia with an "A" minimum rating of performance and a financial strength of at least five times the contract price. Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price, will be required of the successful bidder if a contract is awarded. Bidders must be licensed by the State of Georgia. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, including nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced or conditional bids, and to reject the bid of any bidder if it is not in the best interest of the project.
