Sealed proposals are requested for the cleaning and lining of sanitary sewer manholes and all related work according to the provided plans and specifications. Plans and proposal forms are available at the specified city hall address or can be requested online. The contractor must pay at least the prevailing wage rates to all workers and comply with the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act. Minority business firms are encouraged to submit bids, and successful bidders are encouraged to utilize minority businesses as subcontractors. Upon award, the successful bidder must enter into a Project Labor Agreement with the Southwestern Illinois Building & Construction Trades Council. The city reserves the right to waive technicalities and reject any or all proposals.
