Furnishing and installing all granite curb, sidewalks, brick pavers, asphalt, conduit, etc. required for improving the streetscape along Franklin Street in downtown Mount Airy as described in the specifications and as shown on the contract drawings. NOTE: Prospective bidders are hereby notified that they must have proper license under the state laws governing their trade. General contractors are notified that Chapter 87, Article 1, General Statutes of North Carolina will be observed in receiving and awarding this contract. Bidders must comply with the provisions of the N. C. Contractor's Licensing Act of 1925, as amended. The City reserves the right to reject any proposal for failure to comply with all requirements of the Notice or of any of the Contract Documents; however, it may waive any minor defects or informalities at its discretion. The City further reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or to award the Contract which in its judgment is in the best interest of the City. Five Percent (5%) Bid Deposit is Required and Must Be Sealed in a Separate Envelope and Attached to the Outside of the Envelope Containing the Proposal Female and minority-owned businesses are encouraged to submit bids.
