Custodial cleaning services are required for Whiteford Agricultural Schools, including the Middle School/High School Building (110,700 sq. ft.) and the Elementary School Building (30,800 sq. ft.). The contractor must provide competent supervision and maintain a list of all cleaning employees, updated as needed. Employees must adhere to standards of conduct, attire, and privacy. All cleaning service staff must be announced to the school district at least 48 hours in advance, with background checks reserved by the district. Keys and key cards are provided by the district and must not be duplicated or retained after contract termination. The contractor must normally perform the majority of custodial work between 3:00 PM and midnight, Monday through Friday, during the 185 workdays of the school year, unless school is canceled. On canceled days, cleaning may be reduced or eliminated, but coverage is required for scheduled events, with billing adjustments as appropriate. The contractor is responsible for setup, teardown, and cleaning after any school events or activities. The contractor also ensures nightly security of the building. Staffing requirements include a designed table for each building, shift times, and an 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM presence in each building. Annual summer cleaning includes stripping, scrubbing, and refinishing all non-LVT hard surface floors at least three weeks before school starts, using district-approved products. Work performance is subject to inspection and may incur fines for repeated deficiencies. Energy conservation, proper security, and compliance with all district requirements are expected at all times.
