Site work for an educational facility in Waynesville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility.
The project generally consists of mobilization, installing erosion control measures, mass grading, installation of stormwater drainage/conveyance, existing sewer relocation, and site stabilization. Bidders must submit a certified check or cashiers check payable to Haywood County Schools or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by a corporate surety licensed under the laws of North Carolina for five percent of the total bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish separate 100 percent Performance and Payment Bonds. Each bidder must have a North Carolina Contractors License and should make positive efforts to use small and minority-owned business enterprises. The contractor must ensure nondiscrimination in employment based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. Haywood County Schools reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities. The contract may be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder. The owner may investigate bidders' qualifications and may reject any bid if the bidder is not deemed qualified. Conditional or qualified bids will not be accepted. Bidders are responsible for inspecting the site and being familiar with the contract documents. All applicable laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations shall apply throughout the contract.
