Renovation of a multi-residential development in Doerun, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
For furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and services required to construct: Doerun housing authority, IQC, Task 13, Doerun, Georgia - 2539, consisting of various modifications at four developments. Projects GA06P112003A (16 dwelling units): Complete modernization of Baths. Projects GA06P112001, GA06P112002, GA06P112003A & B (44 dwelling units total): Installation of new exhaust fans, with a timer-delay switch. The buildings are 1 story, and are located on four sites in Doerun, Georgia. A certified check drawn on a bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, payable to the Housing Authority, or satisfactory bond executed by an acceptable surety on the Bid Bond form contained in the Specifications, or other form acceptable to HUD and the LHA, and in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond(s) in the amount of 100% of the contract amount. All sureties must be authorized to transact business in the State of Georgia and must be listed on the U.S. Treasury Department Circular No. 570 (most current list), published annually listing companies approved to act assurety on bonds securing government contracts, and said surety or sureties must be in accordance with maximum underwriting limits on each contract as specified in the above mentioned Circular No. 570. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Specifications must be paid on this Project. Doc note- Proposed Contract Forms, Drawings and Specifications are on file at the office of the Architect, SRJ Architects Inc., 1108 Maryland Drive, Albany, Georgia 31707-3879, telephone (229) 436-9877. Two copies of the documents may be obtained by Prime Contractors by depositing $50.00 with the Architect for each set of documents so obtained. Prime Contractors who return the documents complete and in good condition within ten days after the bid opening will be refunded their full deposit. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Housing Authority. The Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding. Document Notes : Prime Contractors who return the documents complete and in good condition within ten days after the bid opening will be refunded their full deposit. If documents are not returned, the entire deposit will be forfeited. Prime Contractors may purchase additional sets and subcontractors and material suppliers may purchase sets of the documents for the cost of reproduction which is $50.00 per set. This is not refundable. No partial sets will be issued. Shipping charges are in addition to deposit. Checks shall be made payable to the Doerun Housing Authority.
