Highway 96, Abandoned Mine Lands Reclamation located in Greenwood, Arkansas for the Arkansas Department of Energy and Environment. The Davis-Bacon Wage Rates and other Federal Regulations shall apply to this project. A bid security in the amount of 5% shall accompany each bid, if the bid is more than $50,000.00. No bid shall be accepted from any bidder failing to attend any mandatory meeting(s). Question Deadline 04/17/2026 If any person contemplating submitting a Bid is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the Contract Documents or finds discrepancies in or omissions from any part of the Contract Documents, he may submit to the Design Professional a written request for an interpretation or correction thereof not later than five (5) calendar days before Bid opening In general, the Work consists of: 1. Site preparation; 2. Installation of erosion control measures; 3. Management of water; 4. Grading of surrounding landscape to remediate highwall; 5. Fine grading of slopes; 6. Stabilization of disturbed areas; and 7. Restoration of site improvements. B. The work will be divided into three reclamation project, Vache Grasse AML Project will be the first to be completed, followed by the Clark AML Project, lastly, the Highway 96 AML Project. In general, the three projects will consist of, but not necessarily limited to, the following items: 1. Vache Grasse AML Project a. Mobilizing and demobilizing to the site all necessary equipment and people to complete the work in the contract time allowed. b. Install erosion and control measures as per the approved Stormwater Pollution and Prevention Plan and as shown on the Drawings. c. Remove existing fencing within area of disturbance. d. Clear and grub vegetation within extent of disturbed area e. Dewater the pond as need to facilitate earthwork. f. Placing fill into pond by excavating and grading the surrounding landscape as shown in the Vache Grasse AML portion of the Drawing set. g. Install temporary vegetation. 2. Clark AML Project a. Mobilizing and demobilizing to the site all necessary equipment and people to complete the work in the contract time allowed. b. Dewater the pond as need to facilitate earthwork. c. Placing fill into pond by excavating and grading the surrounding landscape as shown in the Clark AML portion of the Drawing set. d. Assist the Arkansas Valley Electric Cooperative Corporation with relocating two utility poles. e. Install temporary vegetation. 3. Highway 96 AML Project a. Mobilizing and demobilizing to the site all necessary equipment and people to complete the work in the contract time allowed. b. Perform seed bed preparation. c. Place lime and fertilizer. d. Supply and install vegetation using hydromulching. e. Install fencing and gates as shown on the Drawings. f. Maintain erosion control measures until vegetation is established,then remove the erosion control measures. g. Complete site cleanup and remove Contractor's staging area and return the area back to original conditions as per the project specifications.
