Description

The work performed shall include all necessary labor, material and equipment to place rubberized chip seal, bonded wearing course, and associated work on various roads as directed by the DPW. Instructions to bidders state that bids must be submitted electronically through the City's Bidnet Direct Portal. Bids submitted through any other means, such as mail, email or hand delivery, will not be accepted and will be rejected by the City as non-responsive. The awarded contractor shall comply with Mass. Gen. L. Ch. 149, Sec. 26 – 27D, as this contract is subject to Massachusetts Prevailing Wage Rates. The City reserves the right to reject any and all submissions, to waive any minor informalities and technicalities, or to cancel the bid if it were in the public interest to do so. Pre-qualification requirements: MASSACHUSETTS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION HIGHWAY DIVISION (MASSDOT) PREQUALIFICATION IS REQUIRED TO BID ON THIS PROJECT. MassDOT prequalification of contractors with the class of work as, PAVEMENT SURFACING, for the project with an estimated value of $4,016,925.00 will be required. Only those contractors on the approved list provided by MassDOT are to obtain official bid documents.
