Proposals are being accepted for construction work that includes the following approximate quantities: 23,000 linear feet of curb and gutter removal, 4,200 square yards of concrete walk removal, 2,400 square yards of concrete pavement removal, 21,000 square yards of bituminous pavement removal, 8,400 cubic yards of common excavation, 6,000 cubic yards of aggregate base (class 5), 30,000 square yards of bituminous surface milling (7.5"-10"), 12,000 tons of type 12.5 wearing course mix, 700 linear feet of reinforced concrete pipe sewer (12"-18"), 11 hydrants, 192 one-inch corporation/curb stops, 26 gate valves (6"-16"), 3,900 linear feet of one-inch type K copper pipe, 5,400 linear feet of ductile iron CL 52 watermain (6"-16"), 320 linear feet of drainage structure construction, 48,000 square feet of concrete walk, 23,000 linear feet of concrete curb and gutter, 3,000 square yards of concrete driveway, 1,900 cubic yards of common topsoil borrow, and 11,000 square yards of sodding (type lawn). All work must be completed by the dates specified in the project specifications. Bids must be submitted electronically through BidVAULT, and only electronic bids will be accepted from contractors listed as plan holders on the specified site. A bid bond not less than 5% of the total bid amount must accompany each bid. The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities and informalities, and to award the contract in the city's best interests.
