A. The Work of the Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following The Work covered by these specifications is located along approximately 625 linear feet of Eshelman Run, a tributary to Pequea Creek. The work includes mobilization, selective site demolition, erosion and sediment controls, flow diversion, and removal of accumulated sediment to create a functional floodplain area with a baseflow channel that runs from Pleasant View Drive and ties to the upstream extents of the Phase I project on the Eshelman Property. The project area will be planted as specified in the Drawings to provide native riparian buffer habitat. Work is shown on the Drawings titled "Eshelman Run Streambank Stabilization Phase II Drawings" prepared by LandStudies, with a revision date of October 31, 2025, sheets 1 through 11, inclusive. B. The restoration work as shown in the Drawings is expected to take up to a maximum of two months. All Work for the Project, aside from the planting of the herbaceous plugs per the Landscape Planting, shall begin on the week of September 28, 2026, or after and be substantially completed by no later than November 16, 2026. This Work includes temporary and permanent seeding, and stabilization to ensure compliance with erosion and sediment control requirements as detailed on the plans. Note that the landscape planting work, including the installation of trees, shrubs, and herbaceous plugs per the Landscape Plan within the Drawings, shall be completed within the planting timeframes specified with Section 329300 - Plants. It is anticipated that the planting of herbaceous plugs per the Landscape Planting plan shall be completed within the spring planting window as specified in Section 329300. Planting of the herbaceous plugs shall be substantially completed by no later than April 16, 2027. The Work for the Project shall be completed and ready for final payment on or before May 11, 2027.
