Renovation of an office development in Palm Springs, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 10,900-square-foot, one-story above grade office development; and 7,478-square-foot office development.

Bernards requests bids for all trades from qualified bidders for the New Educational Service Supply Center Conversion and the Farrell Building Interior Improvement projects located in Palm Springs. The New Educational Service Supply Center project involves the conversion of an existing 7,478 square foot commercial building into new offices and a supply center, including related site improvements. The Farrell Building Interior Improvement project involves the modernization of existing single-story office buildings, approximately 10,900 square feet, to update interior finishes, doors, HVAC, roofing, and electrical systems, including minor site work improvements. Subcontractors are required to comply with general prevailing wage rates and must use the Textura Construction Payment Management System for electronically signing and submitting pay applications, including invoices and lien waivers. All awarded subcontractors must be prepared to furnish 100% faithful performance and 100% payment bonds issued by a licensed, admitted corporate surety with a minimum A.M. Best rating of A-VI, authorized to issue bonds by the State of California, in the full amount of their subcontracts. Plans and specifications are available through the reprographics company at www.buildingconnected.com. Subcontractors must review and execute Bernards' Subcontract Agreement along with Attachments A through E without modifications. Bids not conforming to these instructions will not receive the maximum number of quality points in a Best Value award process. Attachments will be issued via addendum during the bid period. Pre-qualification requirements: All mechanical, electrical, plumbing ("MEP") and sheet metal subcontractors (contractors that hold a C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43 and/or C-46 license) must have submitted prequalification applications at least ten business days prior to bid date and must be approved at least five business days prior to bid date. All subcontractors and sub-tier subcontractors must be registered and maintain good standing with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Subcontractors must also meet minimum requirements for Skilled and Trained Workforce (PCC 2600 – 2603 et seq.), and be prepared to furnish required bonds as specified.
