Renovation of an educational facility in West Hartford, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
All Bidders must file with their bid a bid bond, certified or treasurer's check in the amount of 10% of the total of the base bid made payable to the Town of West Hartford. Performance and Labor and Material Payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price will be required of the successful bidder if the contract pursuant to this request for bids exceeds $50,000.00. Question Deadline 04/17/2026 All questions must be submitted in writing and emailed to procurement@westhartfordCT.gov . The right is reserved to reject all bids, to waive any informality in the bidding and to make awards in any manner that is the most beneficial to the Town. This project entails the complete renovation of 12,300 square feet of Conard High School Servery and Cafeteria. The work includes demolition of flooring, ceiling and soffits, portions of masonry walls, and accordion partitions. Demolition includes removal of servery equipment. State law requires a minimum of twenty-five (25%) percent of the state-funded portion of the contract for award to subcontractors holding current certification from the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services ("DAS") under the provisions of CONN. GEN. STAT. 4a-60g, as amended. (25% of the work with DAS certified Small and Minority owned businesses and 25% of that work with DAS certified Minority, Women and/or Disabled owned businesses.) The contractor must demonstrate good faith effort to meet the 25% set-aside goals.
