Demolition, site work, paving and renovation of a transportation facility in Cheektowaga, New York. Completed plans call for the demolition of a transportation facility.

The project involves the demolition and removal of former air operations control building #4 located on the Airside Operations Area (AOA), full depth pavement construction, construction of new airport perimeter security fencing, and associated site restoration and utility work. General and specialty contractors are invited to submit proposals for this municipal/government facility contract. The work will be implemented under one Notice to Proceed. Contractors are required to perform not less than 25% of the work with their own forces. Instructions to bidders include: - Have bid information ready before beginning online submission. All bids must be submitted online and will remain secure and encrypted until the opening time. Sessions will time out after 45 minutes if not saved. - Bid security must accompany each bid, in an amount not less than ten percent of the total bid price if the base bid exceeds $50,000. Bid security may be submitted electronically or in an opaque sealed envelope. - Refer to Contract Drawings, Project Manual, and Technical Specifications for further requirements. - Liquidated damages will be assessed for failure to complete the project within the time specified. - The NFTA reserves the right to waive irregularities, reject any or all bids, and extend the bidding period. - Contractors must obtain Contract Documents through the NFTA Engineering Branch website or specified contacts, and online registration is required to become a Plan Holder. - A Pre-Bid Conference will be held, and a site walk-through will follow. Minimum required PPE includes hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest, and closed toe shoes. No PPE will be provided by NFTA. - The percentage goal of Disadvantaged Business Enterprise participation in the project is 0.0%.
