Work will be that associated with the Runway Lighting & Guidance Sign Replacement project which will involve the replacement of all runway lights, circuitry, and guidance signs. More specifically, the work will involve installing all new LED runway edge lights, threshold lights, REILs, guidance signs, and electrical cables installed in PVC conduit. Additional bid requirements are more specifically defined in Section B of the technical specifications for the project. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the plans and technical specifications prepared for this project. Bidders must submit a Bid Bond equal to five percent of the total amount bid. Bids must be held for sixty calendar days and submitted in hard copy in a sealed envelope, properly labeled. Contractors must have either the "Heavy / Railroad" (H/RR) or "Heavy / Railroad - Specialty" (H/RR-S) classification on their Alabama license prior to bid opening. Compliance with all relevant City, County, State, and federal requirements is mandatory. Disadvantaged business enterprises must be given full opportunity to participate and no discrimination is permitted based on race, color, national origin, creed, sex, age, or disability.
