Remodeling of an educational facility in Muncie, Indiana. Completed plans call for the remodel of a educational facility.
Scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the interior remodel of existing general purposes classrooms, specifically Room No. 102, 103, 104, and 106 in the Burkhart Building. Bidders must provide all equipment, labor, and material necessary to complete the project. Instructions to bidders require that bids must be properly executed, addressed to Ball State University Board of Trustees, and submitted on Contractors Bid For Public Works Form 96 (revised 2013), along with required financial data not older than 90 days. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bank draft payable to Mike Fowler, Vice President for Business Affairs and Treasurer for Ball State University, or an acceptable bidder's bond for at least 5 percent of the total bid price. All bid documents and the bid security must be enclosed in a sealed opaque envelope marked SEALED BID and addressed to the Ball State University Board of Trustees, with the project name, bidder's name, and address on the envelope. If mailed, this envelope must be further enclosed in a separate mailing envelope marked "SEALED BID ENCLOSED".The contractor awarded the work will be required to furnish an acceptable surety bond in the full amount of the contract. Contractors must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including prequalification by the Indiana Department of Administration and E-Verify Program enrollment for new hires. Ball State University reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informality, and return any unopened bids received after the specified time. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of sixty days after submission. ESTIMATED COST OF CONSTRUCTION: $185,000.00
