The project is expected to be awarded on June 15, 2026.** Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant South Train Screenings Improvements Project - Concrete The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals for installation of two bar screens, screenings washer compactors, slide gates, and concrete channel work within the existing screen house at the South Train of the City's Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant. There are two prime contracts: one for General Construction and one for Electrical. Bidders must comply with all applicable laws protecting individuals from discrimination, minimum salary and wage requirements, the Steel Products Procurement Act, and federal and state law requirements. The project may be funded in whole or part with federal monies obtained by PENNVEST through the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and is subject to the Drinking Water State Revolving Loan Fund requirements. The City will select the lowest responsible bidder based on bid submissions, but the lowest dollar amount is not the sole criterion. Factors such as the quality of services, bidder responsiveness, past performance, compatibility with City services, contractor integrity, compliance with public policy, record of past performance, and financial and technical resources will be considered. The City reserves the right to reject bids for unsatisfactory qualifications or for being incomplete, conditional, obscure, or irregular. The City may also waive technical defects and informalities in the bids if it serves the City's interest.
