Description

Renovation of a conference / convention center in Larned, Kansas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a conference / convention center.

The City of Larned is seeking proposals from qualified roofing contractors to replace the existing roof at the Larned Chamber Office. The objective is to install a durable, weather-resistant roofing system that ensures the long-term protection of this community asset. The selected contractor will provide all labor, materials, equipment, and permits necessary to complete the following: Demolition: Remove and legally dispose of all existing roofing materials down to the substrate. Inspection: Conduct a thorough inspection of the roof deck; identify and replace any damaged or rotted wood/decking (billed as a pre-agreed hourly rate or per-sheet cost). Installation: Supply and install a new roofing system (e.g., TPO, EPDM, or high-grade asphalt shingles, depending on the building's current pitch and requirement). Flashing & Drainage: Replace all perimeter flashing, counter-flashing, and ensure proper sealing around vents and HVAC units. Inspect and/or replace gutters and downspouts if necessary. Cleanup: Daily cleanup of the job site and a final magnetic sweep for nails and metal debris. Bidders must provide proof of the following in their submission: Licensing: Valid contractor's license to operate in the State of Kansas and the City of Larned. Insurance: Certificate of Insurance showing General Liability and Workers' Compensation coverage.
