DBR Project Number 238014.000 Project Number: 762306872 The project consists of the construction of two public plazas: Plaza Azteca (700 Hidalgo St.) and Plaza La Noria (700 Farragut St.), to be completed under a single contract. The work includes, but is not limited to, site demolition, earthwork, utilities, concrete and unit paver surfaces, landscaping and irrigation systems, site lighting, and installation of site furnishings. Plaza Azteca involves constructing a concession building, two unisex restroom facilities, mechanical room, storage areas, stage, and associated utility connections, as well as shade structures, monument features, and a refuse enclosure. Plaza La Noria includes similar site improvements except for enclosed buildings. All work must be performed in accordance with the plans and specifications, including all utility connections, permitting, and coordination required for a complete and operational project. The construction contract time is five hundred fifty (550) calendar days. Bids must include all necessary materials, machinery, equipment, labor, superintendence, and services required for the improvements; must be submitted with an original bid guaranty (bidder's bond, certified check, or cashier's check) from a surety authorized in Texas; and must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the project name, bidder's name, and address. On federally funded projects, contractors must comply with the Federal Labor Standards Provision, Davis Bacon Act, Equal Opportunity Clause, Wage Determination, and HUD and Urban Development Federal Requirements. Only bids and guaranties physically received by the stated deadline will be considered. Bids by telephone, telegraph, or fax are not accepted. Bidders should review Section C-3.10 of the General Conditions for causes of disqualification and are expected to inspect the site to inform themselves of all local conditions. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and award the contract in its best interest.
