Metropolitan is seeking qualified suppliers or contractors to provide goods, services, and minor construction work on an as-needed basis. This effort is to establish a pool of pre-qualified suppliers and contractors capable of providing goods, services, and minor construction work as needs arise. All procurement actions will be conducted in accordance with Metropolitan’s procurement policies and applicable federal, state, and local laws, including Department of Industrial Relations requirements for public works. Procurement categories include, but are not limited to: laboratory equipment, 3D printers, safety equipment, computers, janitorial supplies, telecommunication equipment and services, valves, chemicals, office supplies, painting, hand and power tools, furniture, landscaping, wastewater treatment, and minor building/construction supplies. Contractors are required to comply with insurance, prevailing wage, and licensing requirements. There is an online Q&A process prior to the bid deadline, but no pre-bid meeting will be held. The bid is valid for 24 months and may require a crime and dishonest bond. All items are to be delivered F.O.B. destination.
