The work involves providing landscape maintenance on regional rights of way. This includes watering tree, shrub, and perennial median and boulevard planters, roundabouts, and other softscape areas. Duties also include maintenance of planted areas such as litter and debris removal, perennial deadheading, weeding, pruning, cutting back plant material, re-applying mulch, cultivating, and fertilizing. Contractors will be required to perform supplemental and manual watering of trees, manual and surface watering of conifer trees, shrubs, and perennials. Maintenance and repairs of a low volume/drip centralized irrigation system managed by Rain Bird irrigation controllers, monitoring the system using Rain Bird IQ software, and responding to system alerts will be required. The scope also covers supplying, installing, and maintaining plant material including trees, shrubs, and perennials in landscaped planters and other specified areas within the regional right-of-way. To qualify, bidders must hold an active Irrigation Association Membership, ensure all personnel are Certified Irrigation Contractors in good standing, and have access to at least three water trucks with adequate capacity for the contract duration.
