Sealed proposals are requested for the Fairfield Avenue Culvert Replacement project. The scope of work includes 70 LF of 8' x 6' precast concrete box culvert, 2658 CY of stream channel excavation, 80 LF of 28'' x 45'' reinforced concrete culvert, and pavement replacement. The project must be completed within 150 calendar days after the "Notice to Proceed." Instructions to bidders include: - Proposals must be sealed and endorsed for the Fairfield Avenue Culvert Replacement Project and addressed to the City Manager, to be hand delivered or received by mail before the opening date and time. - Bidders may be required to provide references and information for evaluation of responsibility, experience, skill, and financial standing. Contracts will not be awarded to contractors inexperienced in this type of work. - Compliance with prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Columbiana County and the City of Columbiana, Ohio, as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services Wage and Hour Division is required. - Contractors and subcontractors should use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor as much as practicable, and must comply with equal opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123. - Each proposal must include a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid bonds must be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in Ohio. - The right is reserved to reject any and all bids, increase or omit any items, waive informalities or irregularities, and to award to the lowest and/or best bidder.
