The work includes installation of new street lighting along sections of NYS Route 14 and Clawson Boulevard (NYS Route 224) within the Village of Montour Falls, NY. The work generally consists of installing pole bases, light poles, fixtures, electric services, meters, and wiring. Associated work involves minimal trenching and repairs or replacement of finish surfaces damaged by the work. Conduit for the project has been installed as part of a previous project. The full scope of work is as specified and indicated on the construction drawings. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of five percent of the maximum amount of the bid. Bids must be sealed in an opaque envelope, clearly marked as a bid for the project, and must bear the name and address of the bidder. The project requires the payment of minimum wage rates as set forth by the NY Prevailing Wage Act. The project is funded by a New York Forward Grant through the NYS Department of State and includes participation goals for MBE (15%), SDVOB (6%), and WBE (15%). The selected contractor must ensure nondiscrimination in employment and is encouraged to utilize business concerns located in or substantially owned by residents of the project area. The Village of Montour Falls reserves the right to waive irregularities, reject any or all bids, and award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder. No bidder may withdraw their bid within sixty days after opening.
