Sealed bids are sought for the 2nd and 3rd Avenue ADA Sidewalk Improvement project located at the intersections of 2nd Avenue and 3rd Street, and 3rd Avenue and 3rd Street within the City of Sterling limits in Whiteside County. The project generally consists of the reconstruction of ADA compliant sidewalk ramps at the intersection corners. Plans and proposal forms are available electronically in PDF format from Willett, Hofmann & Associates, Inc. upon payment of a non-refundable fee. Not less than the prevailing wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project. The contractor must ensure non-discrimination in employment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. The City is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of handicapped status. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding process. Bids may be held for up to sixty days for review and investigation of bidder qualifications prior to awarding the contract.
