Bids are solicited for furnishing the goods, supplies, equipment, and/or services as set forth in this solicitation. The San Antonio Water System is soliciting bids to purchase sewer cleaning nozzles plus accessories and wear items for the purpose of hydro jetting various sizes of sanitary sewer mains, ranging from six inch to ninety-four inches in diameter. Pipe material consists of normal sanitary sewer construction techniques that have been in place since the early 1900s, including but not limited to PVC, concrete, clay, vitrified clay, and cast iron. Typical sewer cleaning nozzles must be able to clean materials normally found in municipal sanitary sewer systems, such as roots, grease, sediment, sludge, gravel, and rocks. The specifications describe the minimum requirements for the annual agreement for the purchase of sewer cleaning nozzles, accessories, and wear items. Bids must be received electronically or by sealed bid in the Purchasing Office by the specified date and time. Sealed bids mailed or delivered must be enclosed in a sealed envelope, addressed to the Director of Purchasing, and clearly marked with the bid number, bid name, closing date, and company name. Electronic bids cannot be accepted after the specified date and time. Sealed bids received late will be returned, unopened and not considered. The period of acceptance of this bid will be 90 calendar days after the bid opening date. Online submission is highly recommended to expedite the process and reduce errors. The Purchasing Department is available to assist any bidder in the interpretation of bid provisions or explanation of how to complete bid forms.
