The project is described as Munsey Elementary School Abatement, Flooring & Painting. Bidders are required to possess the appropriate California contractor licenses for the relevant trades: BP-01 Abatement (C-22), BP-02 Flooring (C-15), BP-03 Painting (C-33), and be registered as a public works contractor. The project consists of the abatement, flooring, and painting work at Munsey Elementary School. All bids must be submitted on the provided form and conform to all contract documents and instructions. Instructions to bidders include: sealed bids must be submitted by the specified deadline; late bids will be returned as nonresponsive; any claim of bid error must adhere to Public Contract Code requirements. Bidders must complete prequalification if required, at least ten business days before bid opening. A bid bond or check for ten percent (10%) of the total bid price must accompany the bid. A mandatory job walk and site visit is required for all participants; nonattendance or tardiness will render the bid ineligible. The selected contractor must provide 100% Performance and Payment Bonds, comply with prevailing wage requirements, and fulfill Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation or good faith effort requirements. The contract is subject to labor compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive responsible bidder, with the right reserved to reject any or all bids and/or waive irregularities.
