This is a sources sought inquiry to identify potential contractors capable of performing underground water supply line repair at an active VA medical facility. The work consists of repairing one or more water leaks in underground PVC C900 water supply piping ranging from 2-inch to 8-inch diameter serving Building 125, Building 104A, and the Spinal Cord parking entrance area. The contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, materials, tools, equipment, quality control, and coordination necessary to locate the leak, excavate through existing concrete pavement and sidewalks, remove and replace damaged piping and fittings, and restore the site to fully operational condition. Work will be performed in multiple phases, including investigation, water shutdown-dependent pipe repair, and restoration activities. The scope includes demolition and removal of concrete, excavation, protection of existing underground utilities, repair or replacement of damaged pipe sections and couplings, installation of thrust blocks, pressure testing, backfilling, soil compaction, and placement of new reinforced concrete pavement, curbs, sidewalks, and ADA-compliant ramps to match existing conditions. The contractor is responsible for traffic control, barricades, signage, coordination with VA staff and security, after-hours and weekend work as required, debris removal, recycling, and repair of any adjacent damage caused by construction activities. All work must comply with OSHA excavation standards, VA Master Specifications, applicable local, state, and federal codes, and VA safety, infection control, and life safety requirements. Submittals include a quality control plan, manufacturer specifications for replacement materials, and final as-built drawings documenting the completed repairs. The work must be completed within 30 calendar days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed and includes a one-year warranty from project acceptance. Location: Michael E.
