The City of Pittsfield is inviting sealed bids for Appleton Avenue Sidewalk Improvements with an estimated cost of $175,000. Bidding procedures will follow the latest edition of M.G.L. Chapter 30 39M. Bids must be addressed to the Purchasing Agent at City Hall and submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the bid number and project title. Bids received after the deadline will not be accepted. Complete sets of plans and specifications can be obtained at the Purchasing Office. The Purchasing Agent reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or waive any informality in the bidding process. Bids are valid for 30 business days after the receipt date. Wages must comply with prevailing wage requirements. Attention is called to the Equal Opportunity Clause and Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Construction contract specifications. All bidders will receive consideration regardless of race, color, religion, age, sex, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
