Demolition, renovation and addition to a library in Valdosta, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 1,600-square-foot library; 36,128-square-foot, one-story above grade library; for the addition of a library; and for the demolition of a library.

The work generally consists of repairs and renovations to the Willis L. Miller Library, a one-story, approximately 36,128-square-foot facility located at 2906 Julia Drive, Valdosta, Georgia, which sustained significant damage during Hurricane Helene in September 2024. The project includes restoration of storm-damaged building components, protection of existing finishes to remain, and construction of a small building addition. Work includes demolition and reconstruction of approximately 5,300 gross square feet of the rear portion of the building on the southwest side, and construction of a new 1,600 gross square foot addition to accommodate office functions. The existing facility is fully sprinklered. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked "The Willis L. Miller Library Project - Phase 2." It is the bidder's responsibility to ensure their bid is delivered to the designated location prior to the bid opening time. The contractor shall comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and building and construction codes of the Federal Government, the State of Georgia, and the City of Valdosta, and shall obtain all licenses and permits as required by law. The SGRL reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or parts of any bid, to waive informalities, and to award a contract deemed to be in the best interest of the SGRL. Bids may be held by the SGRL for up to sixty days from the bid opening date for review and investigation of bidder qualifications prior to contract award.
