Site work for a civil project in Beech Mountain, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
The purpose of the project is to restore damaged wastewater facilities to their original functionality and fortify them to be resilient against future hazardous events such as Hurricane Helene. The Project Will Create This Resiliency by Increasing the Volume of Stored Finished Water in the Distribution System Through Installation and Reconfiguration of Water Storagetanks, Thus Sustaining Water Service to All Residents While Giving More Time for the Water Supply to Recover. Also, One Booster Pump Station Currently Has No Backup Power Source. This Pump Station Will Be Provided With a Standby Emergency Generator. The Firm Will Be Expected to Design, Procure, and Administrate the Project Throughconstruction Completion. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. The Town of Beech Mountain Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Proposals, Negotiate With the Best Qualifiedfirm Regarding Fees and/or the Scope of Services or Postpone the Decision for an Indefinite Period.
