Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Arab, Alabama. Completed plans call for the construction of a municipal facility.
The project is for the construction of an animal shelter to be located at 230 Heroes Lane in Arab, Alabama. The scope of work includes demolition of an existing structure by the City and construction of a new pole-barn type animal shelter facility, or equivalent, as specified in the provided specifications and drawings. The contractor is responsible for building the pad and completing all necessary work to finish the facility as specified. Bidders must be properly licensed, hold workers’ compensation and insurance, and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws. Contractors must adhere to the applicable IBC/ICC building codes (minimum 2012 Building Code and 2014 NEC) and be qualified as a City vendor. Each bid must include a Bid Bond of $10,000. The project must be completed within 180 days of the Notice to Proceed. The City of Arab reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive any informalities or technicalities, and award the bid in the best interest of the City.
