Site work and new construction of a military facility in Louisville, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the construction of a two-story above grade military facility; and for site work for a military facility.
ACCOUNT: 095 CADF BU14 00 Question Deadline 04/17/2026 All questions regarding the meaning or interpretation of the bidding documents shall be directed in writing to the purchasing officer. Unless otherwise specified in the Solicitation, questions received less than ten (10) calendar days prior to the date for receipt of bids may not be answered. Construction of a new Maintenance Shop for the Buechel Armory in Louisville, Kentucky. The structure is a pre-engineered metal building with three drive-through maintenance bays, and a two-story administrative and parts & tools storage, Room POL and Air compressor room. Interior walls in the shop are CMU covered with paneled plywood to 8-0, while administrative walls are a combination of CMU and metal studs with drywall. The building is to have hollow metal doors and frames, aluminum windows, shop bays with overhead sectional doors with glass panels, split systems HVAC, lighting, fire alarm system, building exhaust and vehicle exhaust in the maintenance bays. Sitework includes grading, filling, concrete apron each side of the building, new open washroom, oil/water separator, and site utilities. Bids will be received from Prime Contractors on a Lump Sum Bid Basis for the total project. Bids must be submitted on the official bid document form provided, and are subject to all conditions described in the bid documents. All bids must include all labor, materials, supplies, tools, appliances, equipment, and services necessary for the project as described and shown in the specifications and drawings. All bids shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee of not less than five percent of the amount of the lump sum base bid. A 100% Performance Bond and a separate 100% Payment Bond shall be furnished by the successful bidder. Applicant contractors must be registered in the Commonwealth eProcurement System via the Vendor Self Service System prior to submission. Bidder qualifications, list of unit prices, proposed subcontractors, and materials are required with the bid. All documentation is to be processed via the Owner's Document Collaboration System. Demolition/renovation projects must comply with Kentucky Division of Air Pollution Control Regulation 401 KAR 57:011. The project is subject to state requirements such as tobacco-free facilities, EEO requirements, and registration with the Secretary of State. Estimated Length of Project: 300 (Substantial Completion) + 30 (Final Completion)
