Cost Estimate: Hanford High School: $439,000.00 Hanford West High School: $838,000.00 Sierra Pacific High School: $420,000.00 Total Combined: $1,697,000.00 Project no. DSA #02-123898 2457, DSA #02-123899 2458 The project consists of constructing concessions buildings at Hanford High School (DSA # 02-123897), Hanford West High School (DSA #02-123898), and Sierra Pacific High School (DSA# 02-123899). The exact scope of work will be provided at the mandatory job walk. Instructions to bidders include: - Bids must be sealed and filed in the Business Office of the Owner. - Bids must be accompanied by a bidder's bond or a certified/cashier's check for at least 10% of the bid amount. - Contractors must be licensed in the State of California with a Class B license. - The successful bidder must furnish a Payment Bond for 100% of the contract price from an admitted surety company. - All required bonds must be issued by an admitted surety insurer and comply with California Code of Civil Procedure requirements. - Payment and performance bonds must be underwritten by an admitted surety and include the required County Clerk's certificate. - Bidders may substitute securities for retention monies as allowed by Public Contracts Code Section 22300. - Payment of prevailing wages is required as per Labor Code Section 1770 et seq. - The successful bidder must provide proof of property damage and personal injury liability insurance for a combined single limit of not less than $2,000,000, and proof of workers compensation insurance. - Each bid must set forth the work performed, name, and location of each subcontractor performing more than 0.5% of the total bid, as required by the Public Contract Code. - A mandatory pre-bid conference and walk-through will be held for interested bidders. - No bidder may withdraw a bid for 60 days after award, unless required by law. - The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in any bid.
