Renovation of a mixed-use development in Des Moines, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; educational facility; playground / park / athletic field; educational facility; playground / park / athletic field; educational facility; and playground / park / athletic field.
The project involves the procurement of Construction Manager At-Risk (CMR) services to enter into a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) contract for facility improvements at multiple locations. The scope of work includes corridor/hallway renovations, restroom renovations, new playground, early childhood expansion and kindergarten addition, electrical and HVAC updates, kitchen renovations at Cornell Elementary School; corridor/hallway renovations, restroom renovations, electrical updates, kitchen renovation at Woodside Middle School; corridor/hallway renovations, restroom renovations, electrical updates, HVAC updates, installation of emergency generator system, sanitary sewer line relocation and replacement, synthetic turf replacement at the football field, synthetic turf installation at the softball and baseball fields, and softball concession/restroom building replacement at Saydel High School; and security and technology improvements at the district location. Selection will occur through a two-step solicitation process using a "best value" evaluation method. Respondents must demonstrate experience with multi-site K-12 school projects, past performance and references, safety record and program, proposed personnel and corporate structure, proposed project methodology and ability to meet schedule benchmarks, and financial responsibility.
