Site work and paving for a road / highway in Des Moines, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The work consists of street rehabilitation on SW 9th Street from Watrous Avenue to Wolcott Avenue and from Park Avenue to Creston Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa. The improvement includes milling the existing roadway, resurfacing with Hot-Mix Asphalt (HMA), crack and seat Portland Cement Concrete (PCC), full PCC pavement patching, pavement markings, and other incidental items, all as specified in the contract documents including Plan File No. 681-117/155. The project must be fully completed not later than October 23, 2026. Each bidder must accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Section 26.8 of the Iowa Code and as specified by the jurisdiction. Copies of the contract documents are available from the City Engineer's Office, 4th Floor, T.M. Franklin Cownie City Administration Building, 1200 Locust Street, Des Moines, Iowa 50309, at no cost. Preference will be given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the State of Iowa, and to Iowa domestic labor as required by law. Bidders should not include sales tax in their bids, as a sales tax exemption certificate will be provided for all material purchased for incorporation in the project.
