Site work and paving for a road / highway in Moraga, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The work will primarily consist of pavement rehabilitation (partial depth recycling (PDR), milling, HMA overlay, and shoulder stabilization), concrete repairs, storm drain repairs, traffic control, and traffic striping. Contractor shall have a Class A General Contractor's License. Each bid shall be made on the proposal form furnished by the Town and shall be in accordance with the specifications and other contract documents and shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bidder's bond, payable to the Town in a sum not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract for the work, the full amount of such guarantee to be forfeited to the Town should said bidder fail to enter into said contract. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in an amount not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, secured from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of California, and subject to the approval of the Town's Attorney. The successful bidder will also be required to furnish the Town of Moraga with an insurance policy in the amount of $5,000,000 per occurrence for bodily injury, personal injury, and property damage. The project is subject to the prevailing wage requirements applicable to the locality in which the work is to be performed.
