*This project has been cancelled until further notice* The work consists of rehabilitation at the Claiborne Pell Bridge, including partial depth deck rehabilitation from the west approach to Pier 1E and approach spans between 22E and 34E, use of hydro demolition for removal, full depth rehabilitation at all joints and other areas as determined during construction, replacement of finger joints at towers and future maintenance access platforms, replacement of expansion joints with polymer expansion joints along approaches, replacement of deck control joints, exterior and partial interior painting of both towers, replacement of compression links at seven out of eight existing compression links including construction of necessary platforms, rehabilitation of two service elevators within the towers, installation of two access towers from deck level to the top of anchorage pier roofs, replacement of suspender ropes along the suspended span, provision of access and platforms for internal cable inspections of twelve main cable panels, and traffic control throughout construction including a full bridge-length temporary movable barrier and movable barrier mover. Proposals must be submitted in two hard copies and one electronic copy on USB Flash Drive, clearly marking public copies for inspection, and must include Statement of Qualifications. A certified check or bid bond of at least 5% of the total bid price is required, as is a 100% Performance Bond for the successful bidder. Only bids from parties who have obtained contract documents directly from the Authority will be considered. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive informality.
