The project consists of the construction of a new single-slip covered boathouse and boat slip facility at the Cowford location to house the Limestone County Sheriff's Office patrol vessel. The facility shall include a covered boat slip with dual-motor boat lifts, access walkway, electrical service, water service, and all associated outfitting. All bids must be sealed and clearly marked with the word "BID," the bid proposal number, name of item, and opening date on the outside of the envelope. The Limestone County Commission reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality in bids, and to accept in whole or in part such bid or bids solely at its discretion. Concrete deck surface throughout the boathouse interior , slip walkways , and bow walk . Bidder shall note any proposed substitution with equivalent material and justification . (Note : Trex composite decking is an acceptable alternative at equivalent or lower cost ; bidder shall provide unit pricing for both options if applicable .) 6 - foot bow walk . 4 -foot slip walks on each side of the boat slip Boat Slip Dimensions . Single slip : 35 feet long x 12 feet wide , sized to accommodate the Safeboat CC27 patrol vessel with twin outboard engines Boat Lifts Dual -Motor Boat Lift capable of supporting and /or lifting at least 16,000 lbs One boat cradle fabricated or fitted to accommodate the Safeboat CC27 patrol vessel Enclosure Roof Boat slip and interior walkways enclosed with 26 gauge PBR steel panel One (1) roll -up garage door with remote operation , sized to accommodate vessel entry and exit . System shall possess a manual override system to allow for operation in the event of a power loss . One (1) 36 -inch metal exterior personnel access door with exterior lockset and deadbolt . Boathouse shall be of sufficient interior height to provide overhead clearance of all patrol vessel roof mounted system . Flat 26 -gauge PBR steel roof panel ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATIONS 100 - amp electrical panel installed within the boathouse Five (5) 42 -inch LED strip lights Two (2) exterior flood lights (exterior -facing , for dockside illumination ) Two (2 ) exterior sconce lights - facing walkway Three (3) 120 -volt duplex electrical outlets Two (2 ) 240 -volt boat lift plugs Electrical panel shall be of sufficient size to allow future expansion for additional electrical equipment . A minimum of 4 empty circuits shall be provided for use at a later date . Electrical service shall be extended to the shore end of the access walkway ; the County will arrange connection to shore power at that point . Contractor shall coordinate with the County regarding the shore power connection point prior to construction . ACCESS WALKWAY o Uncovered , unenclosed access walkway o o o . Length : Between 70 and 90 linear feet (final length to be determined by the County prior to award , based on final site confirmation ) Construction : Steel pilings , steel substructure , concrete deck surface consistent with the boathouse Bid Form (Attachment 2) shall include a unit price per 10 linear feet of walkway in addition to a total bid price based on 90 linear feet , to allow for final length adjustment Water line stub - out to the shore end of the walkway shall be included ; the County will arrange connection to the campground water supply . Contractor shall coordinate connection point with the County . Water line shall terminate on the Southeast corner of the boathouse and be equipped with a standard hose bib to facilitate flushing of the outboard motors . A low point drain shall also be installed to allow for draining of the system to prevent freezing .
