Sealed bids are requested for the project known as Mar-c30g-5.19, Osbun Road Over Carroll Ditch. Proposals must be submitted on provided forms, contain the full name and address of the bidder, be sealed and marked as specified, and include a bid security of either a 100% bid bond or a 10% certified check. A one-year, 100% performance bond is also required. Plans and specifications can be obtained from the Marion County Engineer's Office for a non-refundable fee, with free electronic copies available. All work must be completed before the specified date. This is a prevailing wage project under Ohio law, and domestic steel requirements apply to load-bearing structural steel. Bids cannot be withdrawn for 60 days after opening, and the contract will be awarded to the lowest and best bidder. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids. This project includes the replacement of a bridge on Osbun Road over Carroll Ditch, located in Grand Township. The proposed structure is a 24'x10' Precast Concrete Box Culvert. The improvement includes minor approach work, shoulder widening, guardrail installation as well as minor tiling and culvert replacement. The total project length is 0.06 miles. The Contractor shall provide Engineered Structure Drawings and a Load Rating Analysis for the structure. The load rating analysis shall use all Ohio & AASHTO Legal Vehicles, Specialized Hauling Vehicles (SHV's) and Emergency Vehicles (EV's) loading. The Contractor shall also provide the load rating file created for the structure if AASHTO's BRR program is used for the load rating.
